Autodesk Revit BIM program

Throughout our project, Team 8 was searching for a model that conveyed our designs for Sandpiper playground. The BIM modeling program, Autodesk Revit, helped us create our project. This program stands for Building Information Model. BIM is used by Architects and engineers to design and model there projects in the field today. BIM allows users to produce 3D models and generate floor plans to fully illustrate the components of a structure. The user can construct walls, floors, roofs, windows, doors, electrical wiring, mechanical ductwork, plumbing and other objects on a 3D platform.  BIM allows for an innovative display of new ideas in the fast-growing technological society we live in today. “While using BIM, I found that it is innovative software which is similar to a blueprint, but provides a more in-depth understanding of the designed structure” (Tynasia Hammond, Team 8 mentee).
